Comb Honey

Cut Comb Honey

£12.50

Honey still in the wax — to be cut, chewed, and eaten as it is.

Comb honey is the least handled form we offer. The bees cap the cells; we cut the frame. There is no spinning, no settling tank, no jar to disguise the origin.

Serve a square on a board with cheese, or eat it from the piece. The wax is edible. Flavour is immediate and floral, with the slight chew of the comb.

On crystallisation

Natural crystallisation is a normal characteristic of pure honey. It does not mean that the honey is old or spoiled.

Different types of honey crystallise at different rates, depending on nectar source and storage temperature. To return honey to a liquid state, stand the jar in warm water and stir gently. Do not boil.
